Do you love interacting with young children? Playing with toys, reading story books, and helping kids learn?! Huron-Perth Children’s Aid Society may have the perfect volunteer role for you! Huron-Perth Children’s Aid Society is seeking volunteers to provide child care so that parents and caregivers can participate in education classes offered by HPCAS. ... Child Care support will be offered at 2 locations in Huron and Perth Counties between April and June 2020. Volunteers are asked to commit to the entire length of the 6 week program, once a week for approximately 3 hours. Volunteers MUST be very comfortable with young children. Child Care duties may include but are not limited to: - supervising children from 0 months to 5 years old - playing, reading, and other interaction with children - helping children with snacks - potentially assisting with toileting if necessary - helping children to dress appropriately to play outside at the CAS park - communicating with parents/caregivers about their children’s activity and wellbeing Volunteers will be required to complete an application with screening and participate in training. Summer Student Direct Supports Community Living Stratford and area is looking for mature individuals willing to work flexible hours supporting people with int...ellectual disabilities in their homes and in the community. The summer contract position would be a 35 hour a week position. As this position is dependent on a funding program, candidates must be between the ages of 15 and 30. They must also demonstrate good communication skills, initiative, leadership and interpersonal skills. Fundraising Bingo volunteers needed in Stratford Fundraising Bingos support the VON Perth Huron and takes place at the Agriplex in Stratford. The duties include selling and counting bingo cards and handling small amounts of money. Shifts are 3.5 hrs for the weekend the matinees (arrive at 1:30 pm) and 4.5 hrs in the evening (arrive at 5:15 pm). The event take place once a month. Call 519-271-7991 for more info!
