Try the fantasy genre again! This is a really varied and complex genre. You can find full on whimsy, in fantasy books about anthropomorphized animals with their own kingdoms, and worlds that straddle the border with science fiction and thriller genres. If it was difficult for you to suspend your disbelief last time you tried the fantasy genre your librarian has a few books to recommend that are similar to our world and lighter on the magic, complex, bizarre side of this imag...inative genre. This next Wednesday evening (December 16th) is our last Preteen Book Club till after the holidays! DEC. 17th for STORIES WITH MRS CLAUSE before the holiday. After that I will notify everyone when story time will start up again after the holiday. An enjoyable craft for younger kids paired with a library book to enjoy together. Remember to call ahead to pick this up, letting your librarian know how many participants are in your home and provide your library card so the book can be signed out.
