I was made aware today about a number of online commentary which said I was considering a run for the upcoming vacancy in the office of Mayor of Huntsville. I feel like it is necessary to make my position on this matter clear. I believe that council should appoint the mayor, the division which an election would cause the town should be foregone in order to allow for a mayor to take office for the remainder of the term as quickly possible. I will not run for mayor of Hunts...ville. I will not seek the office. I wish who ever is elected will be the progressive, clear and forward thinking voice Huntsville needs to move our community and our region forward. Charles Wilson

I know and like Scott, but Parry Sound Muskoka needs a strong progressive voice who can speak passionately about policy issues and can articulate the needs of the riding. That’s why I’m supporting Trisha Cowie. This is the type voice of Parry Sound Muskoka needs. #ChooseForward

STATEMENT BY CHARLES WILSON FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE I wanted to thank my many faithful supporters during this election campaign. At this time, due to a massive computer failure, the voting has had to remain open a day and we must wait a day to know the results of this election. ... We must continue to acknowledge that we have a world class democracy, and regardless of these errors, we have been assured that every vote will be counted. My faith in our democratic system remains greater than ever, and I for one am thankful we live in a system where the option exists to wait another day to ensure everyone who wishes to vote can. I am also grateful for dedicated hard work of the Clerk’s Office who must be under abnormal stress at this moment. -30-
