Disturbing recent incident in White Rock (following the actual theft of whole mailboxes in Surrey). Being tough on crime would include retaining home delivery. The cost to the Canadian economy and Canadian businesses of stolen mail, credit card fraud, and identity theft exceeds anything gained from cutting home delivery.

After spending a full day with my family relaxing I had time to reflect on the last 3 months leading up to yesterday's election. Although we didn't win I gained so much from the experience. From our great leader, Doug McCallum, and from the core members of our campaign team I learned so many valuable lessons regarding campaigning. Moreover, I realized there are so many amazing people in our community that are willing to give up their valuable time and resources when they beli...eve in you and your cause. I am truly grateful to all those who volunteered day and night for me and our team. Although I've been involved in many campaigns over the years, running for the first time has given me a whole new respect for those who put their names forward. I am also grateful to have such an amazing support system in my family. Thank you to my beautiful wife Bal Thind who didn't just cheer from the sidelines but knocked doors, put up lawn signs, and pushed me when I needed the push. I take away so many valuable lessons from this experience. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to have met so many amazing people during this campaign. With many of the people I met I know we will remain friends for life. As for running again... as I mentioned last night, this is just the beginning. Thank you again for the opportunity, friends, family, and supporters.

We need a 2 year freeze on taxes, and we need effective representation at the regional and national levels. As a litigator, I understand the importance of effectively negotiating and lobbying various levels of government for the resources and funds Surrey requires.
