Throughout the past two months I've made many new friends, and I wanted to share some photos of the more furry ones who call Ward 2 home. Democracy really does feel awesome! Dropped my ballot off this afternoon at City Hall! If you missed today’s mailing deadline, you can drop your mail-in ballot in this box until Tuesday evening at 8pm. You can also visit the Knights of Columbus or Pleasantville Legion on Tuesday between 8am and 8pm to vote in person! #ward2 #ward2yyt #stjohns #vote #nlpoli

IMPORTANT REMINDER Today is the last day to return your mail-in ballot with Canada Post to ensure it gets counted. You can also drop off your ballot at City Hall today. If you can’t make this deadline, or didn’t get a mail-in ballot, you can still vote on Tuesday! To vote in person Tuesday October 20th, you can go to the Knights of Columbus (near St. Clare’s) or the Pleasantville Legion branch with proof of residency to vote in person or to drop off your ballot. The Eric Street community garden is a perfect low-cost example of what we can do with abandoned buildings and vacant lots. The residents of Ward 2 crave green space, and all it takes is the political will to designate it. The St. John’s Regional Fire Department had to put their own members at risk, because the City has done nothing to repurpose, renovate or demolish one of their own fire stations. As the only candidate with a concrete plan to address abandoned and derelict buildings, I will work to make sure our firefighters and the public don’t face these unnecessary risks. https://vocm.com/2020/10/06/fire-old-station/
