Kam Lake Intersection. With the increasing traffic on Kam Lake Road the need for a traffic light is only a matter of time. Even though there is a considerable installation cost, traffic and road safety is a core responsibility of the city.

The current composting program needs to be tweaked. I have 7 people living in my house and having regular garbage pick up twice a month would be a real challenge. I'm all for composting but the city needs to pick up regular garbage as well. PLEASE share this post.

THE HIGH COST OF LIVING Yellowknifers high cost of living is definitely one of the most challenging issues, some of these issues the City has direct control such as taxes, land value, fees etc. On the other issues we have limited control and involvement such as the cost of energy and consumables. This is why keeping our city focused on our core responsibilities is critical to ensuring spending and taxes are in check.
