What an amazing opportunity to have Premier Wynne at my campaign office yesterday. With 1 day left until the election, she brought us an extra boost of energy that we needed! As always, thank you to my wonderful volunteers, family, and friends for your continued support!

June is Indigenous History Month. Our platform includes a plan to support Indigenous children and youth, as well as investing in strong and healthy Indigenous communities. Another part of Indigenous History Month is recognizing our past in order to do better in the future. That is why we are implementing a revised curriculum in September 2018 for all students that will reflect the contributions, cultures, and perspectives of Indigenous peoples. It will include the role of treaties, and the history of residential schools. The Liberal government is passionate and committed to reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.

The Ontario Liberal government has made historic investments in transportation, some of which has taken place right here in the Waterloo Region, however there is more to be done. The people of Ontario need better highways, roads, and increased public transportation. As a former Cambridge to Toronto commuter myself, I understand the struggle of spending countless hours on the 401. Our platform to support transit in this region includes the continued expansion of the Grand River Transit and GO Transit, a high-speed rail connecting Cambridge to Toronto, and exploring the possibility of a GO train service to Cambridge. #CareOverCuts

Thanks to our government, over 4 million children and youth aged 25 and under now have access to free prescription medication. That being said, there is still more we can do. As of August 2019, OHIP+ will be expanded to include seniors aged 65+. Our plan includes eliminating the annual deductible and copayment under the Ontario Drug Benefit (ODB) program. Seniors will no longer have to worry about paying outofpocket for prescription medication. I stand with a government that focuses on providing for those who are in need of help. I believe in #careovercuts
