We had a fun Halloween spending our day doing Halloween themed speech activities with children and ending with a smile and a treat. My favorite book to use for Halloween is Room on the Broom. A great way to work on vocabulary, sentence structure, inferences, answering questions, identifying emotions and story telling skills. I like to draw the pictures and then have the children color them to reinforce the new vocabulary learned and also see what they recalled like the catch phrases. Try it at home! Happy halloween

Meet our newest addition to the Orthophonie VoxLingue Team! Introducing Speech-Language Pathologist - Sandrine Hébert! I am a Speech-Language Pathologist that completed my Master's at the Université de Montréal and I am a member of the Ordre des orthophonistes et audiologistes du Québec (OOAQ). Since last February, I have been working at a Rehabilitation Institute for the eldelry (neurodegenerative disorders, aphasia, dysphonia, dysarthria and dysphagia). I am also passionate... about voice therapy. This passion led me to do an internship in Australia during Fall 2019 to acquire more expertise in this field. I have also participated in the Pan-European Voice Conference in Copenhagen at the end of my Masters, where I presented a poster about my Masters project. These experiences led me to meet specialists in the field of voice therapy. In my practice, I prioritise a collaborative approach with the client. My vision is also to have a practice influenced by research. I specialize with adults that have voice disorders, speech disorders, swallowing problems or acquired language difficulties. I also work with kids or adults with stuttering. I am proud to join the VoxLingue team that shares the same values as me and that helps multilingual clients. Voici notre Orthophoniste - Sandrine Hébert! Je suis orthophoniste ayant complété ma maîtrise professionnelle en orthophonie à l'Université de Montréal et je suis membre de l’Ordre des orthophonistes et audiologistes du Québec (OOAQ). Depuis février dernier, je travaille auprès de la clientèle adulte en centre de réadaptation (maladies neurodégénératives, aphasies, dysphonie, dysarthrie, dysphagie). Passionnée par les troubles de la voix, j'ai eu l'opportunité de faire un stage de recherche en Australie à l'automne 2019 afin d'acquérir de nouvelles connaissances sur ce domaine. J'ai également participé au Pan-European Voice Conference à Copenhague à la fin de mes études où j'ai présenté une affiche de mon projet de maîtrise. Ces expériences m'ont amené à rencontrer des spécialistes dans le domaine. Dans ma pratique, je priorise une approche de collaboration et d'entraide avec le client. Ma vision repose également sur une pratique influencée par la recherche. Je me spécialiste auprès d'une clientèle adulte présentant des troubles de la voix, de la parole, de la déglutition et des troubles acquis du langage. Je travaille également auprès de la clientèle de tous les âges présentant un trouble de la fluidité/bégaiement. Je suis fière d'avoir rejoint l'équipe de VoxLingue qui prône des valeurs similaires aux miennes et ce, auprès de plusieurs clientèles multilingues. C'est un plaisir de faire partie de cette équipe qui me fera croître en tant que professionnelle.

Meet our Orthophonie VoxLingue Team! Introducing Speech-Language Pathologist - Andréanne Langis! I am a speech-language pathologist and member of the Ordre des Orthophonistes et Audiologistes du Québec (OOAQ) and I am clinically certified by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Canada Association (SAC). I have a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Montreal. ... Since the end of my studies, I have been working full time in the public health system with a pediatric clientele presenting psychiatric particularities (ADHD, Gilles la Tourette syndrome, anxiety, behavioral disorder, attachment disorder, suspicion TSA, etc.) Attracted by new challenges, I decided to extend my practice to the private clinic and I therefore joined the VoxLingue team. I am grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with more speech-language pathologists and families and to grow both personally and professionally. Since the beginning of my journey in speech therapy, I have been involved in the development of speech therapy practices targeting adolescents and their families. I have an interest in the impacts of language disorders in adolescence and adulthood as well as in social communication. I want to develop this expertise through research and innovative practices that will have a concrete impact on the daily life of this population. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rencontrez notre équipe Orthophonie VoxLingue! Voici notre Orthophoniste - Andréanne Langis! Je suis une orthophoniste membre de l’Ordre des Orthophonistes et Audiologistes du Québec (OOAQ) et je suis cliniquement certifiée par l’association canadienne d’orthophonie et d’audiologie (OAC). Je détiens un baccalauréat et une maîtrise en orthophonie de l’Université de Montréal. Depuis la fin de mes études, je travaille à temps plein dans le système public de la santé auprès d’une clientèle pédiatrique présentant des particularités psychiatriques (TDAH, syndrome Gilles la Tourette, anxiété, trouble du comportement, trouble de l’attachement, suspicions TSA, etc.) Attirée par de nouveaux défis, j’ai décidé d’étendre ma pratique à la clinique privée et j’ai donc intégré l’équipe de VoxLingue. Je suis reconnaissante d’avoir l’opportunité de collaborer avec davantage d’orthophonistes et de familles et de me développer tant sur le plan personnel que professionnel. Depuis le début de mon parcours en orthophonie, je me suis impliquée dans le développement de pratiques orthophoniques ciblant les adolescents et leurs proches. J’ai un intérêt pour les impacts des troubles du langage à l’adolescence et à l’âge adulte de même que pour la communication sociale. Je souhaite développer cette expertise par le biais de travaux de recherche et de pratiques novatrices qui auront un impact concret sur le quotidien de cette population.
