Voyageur Trail Association 15.12.2020

If you've been enjoying the Voyageur Hiking Trail this winter, why not join the Voyageur Trail Association? As a not-for-profit organization, the VTA depends on donations, volunteers, and membership revenue to support its operations. A paid membership supports trail maintenance, as well as production of the VTA Newsletter and Guidebook. Members are also eligible for exclusive discounts at participating businesses along the trail and enjoy voting privileges at Annual Meetings like the one coming up on January 10th, 2021. 1 and 3 Year Individual, Student and Family Memberships are available at www.voyageurtrail.ca/memberships/

MEDIA RELEASE - Changes Fall Short of Addressing Conservation Authorities’ Concerns New changes made to the Schedule 6 amendments proposed for conservation auth...orities (CAs) fall well short of addressing their concerns and even introduce new additions which create more delays and costs, as well as allow the Minister to disregard CA science-based decision-making for development. We have to continue to ask the Province to withdraw Schedule 6 of Bill 229, says Kim Gavine, General Manager of Conservation Ontario, the association that represents the 36 conservation authorities. These changes don’t address our concerns and further erode our ability to protect people, property and our environment. READ MORE: bit.ly/3qvdgxY #ConservationMatters #RemoveSchedule6
