On August 24, the Government of Canada, Canada Heritage Department announced that five teams have been selected to develop design proposals for the National Monument to Canada’s Mission in Afghanistan. V&R recently completed the mechanical and electrical design inclusive of contract administration services for installation of 2 new domestic hot water heaters in the mechanical penthouse of the HUOT building (Zone C). This was to supply domestic hot water to Zone C with the option to back-feed to the boiler plant to allow the new system to function as backup for domestic hot water supply to Zones A, B, C, E & F. A couple weeks ago the official hot water changeover for Zone C ...was completed, and hot water is now being supplied from the new system. SJHC has confirmed hot and cold water in all departments in C-Zone. In the fall of 2019, V&R were the mechanical and electrical designers on a team led by @teeplearchitects for Centennial College A Block Expansion Project. This 130,000 SF building was meant to house classrooms, teaching labs, Indigenous common and administrative space. To illuminate operating rooms and general areas in the hospital, Viscor’s MD1U series by Certolux was chosen due to its extensive experience lighting various healthcare institutions.
