Our classes have started at Saanich Commonwealth Place. Classes at Christ Church School and Chyrstal Pool & Fitness begin next Monday -Jan 14 and, on Friday, January 18, at Vic West Community Centre .

Had a great clinic with Sensei Akutagawa and Sensei Ling. Five or our brown belts were promoted to the rank of black belt. Congratulations to: Marina Dunn, Jocob Callin, Andrew Ruperto, David Noshad and Tim Callin.

2018 Campbell River Friendship Karate Tournament. Two of our members participated, Pieter and Ericka. Ericka won two bronze -in kata and kumite. Congrats.

2018 Victoria Karate Open Tournament. Last weekend, five of our members participated in six events and won six medals. Isla, silver in kata and weapons. Matthew, silver in kata. Jeffrey, silver in kata. Daniel, bronze in kata. Sam, silver in kumite. Congrats to one and all. Thank you to the organizers and volounteers.

All of our classes have now ended for the Summer Session. We're closed while the pool is going through their annual shutdown/maintenance for two weeks. Classes resume for the Fall Session on Tuesday, September 18.... Most of our classes are almost full with just few spots remaining. Due to the Multi Purpose Room limited space area, we can only accept a maximum of 24 students in the 4/6 years old and a maximum of 30 students in the 6/12 years old. Once these numbers are reached, further registrations will go on a wait list. Please register early to avoid disappointment. http://www.vrkarate.com/registration.php
