North Park Disc Golf -Brought to you by Neal Yonson "I want to announce a super exciting project I've been working on this summer: North Park Disc Golf!"... What: A pop-up 6-hole disc golf course at Royal Athletic Park (1014 Caledonia Ave.) When: Every Sunday from 1-8 pm, starting this Sunday, August 2 and ending September 13 (with the possibility of more days/times being added if this turns out to be popular) This is an amazing opportunity to have a disc golf course to play that is close to the city. This is the first time that the City of Victoria's recreation department has tried out disc golf, so it's also a bit of a test to gauge the level of interest in the sport. The 6-hole course also means it's an easy way to introduce disc golf to new people trying it out for the first time. Come play, bring friends, and spread the word! Please also note: The various powers that be are on board in part because disc golf can be done safely within existing COVID protocols - limit groups to no larger than 6, don't share discs, and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times if playing with folks outside your bubble. Signage will be in place on site, but a general map of the course layout is attached (white circles are the tees, red circles are the baskets) This is being made possible by the combined efforts of the City of Victoria and the North Park Neighbourhood Association, with an assist from the South Island Disc Golf Society
