Hello past and future volunteers, we were recently contacted by a Team Member from PIVOT 2020 which is a Canada-wide youth employment and research project taking place this fall in 27 cities. Considering an abundance of our volunteers are youth and college/university students, this is a great opportunity to have your voice heard. This survey will help to identify what young people want out of their cities; their opinions on what helps young adults live, work, play and thrive;... and where specific cities are strong or weak in these attributes. The purpose of the survey is to collect demographic data regarding youth experience ‘Before’ and ‘Since’ the COVID-19 Pandemic. The survey contains questions regarding financial stability, police interaction, mental/physical health, prejudice/xenophobia (race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, etc.), and personal safety. Some questions are left to one's own interpretation. Answer these questions as you see fit. Thank you for your participation if you are so willing and inclined to provide your valuable feedback. The Principal Investigator is Shauna Sylvester, Executive Director of Simon Fraser University’s Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue and Co-Founder of SFU Public Square who can be contacted at: [email protected].
