(As part of Orange Shirt Day "mini events," our organizations participated in activities in remembrance and honour of residential school students, one of which included sharing bagged lunches.) Here is another "mini event" where some of our event organizers and supporters placed Orange Shirt Day flags in a place of a heart for students of the Residential School Experience. #OrangeShirtDay #EveryChildMatters

Copied from Phyllis Jack-Webstad Niagara Falls will glow orange on September 23rd from 10:00 to 10:15 in honour of the 150,000 children who attended Indian Residential Schools. From 9:30 until the Falls turn orange the Butterfly Spirit Drummers will drum and sing. Then when the Falls change to orange the drums will go silent to remember 10,000 children each minute.
