Fabulous waves yesterday. I have been waiting for them all year. Two beaches, cold wind. The local surfers at Pumphouse had a blast. There were also many surfers from out of town. We are so lucky to have a shoreline with these kind of waves.

Shout out to these bad ass ladies who are dominating our scene this year! The winds are up and howling today. These are pictures from Schreiber, Terrace Bay and Pumphouse beaches. It was difficult to get good pictures at Schreiber because it was raining (at least until we got to the top of the hill and in the car). Isn't that always the way?

Yesterday was a day of sunshine, rain, rainbows and glassy waves. One of the funnest (is there such a word) on the lakes - Photo thanks to Geoff Ortiz

Due to the obvious unfortunate circumstances of the world, we will not be having an official Waasaashkaa Gathering this October. It makes us super sad that we won’t be able to spend time with all of you collectively to celebrate the beauty of surfing. With that being said, nature and surfing are NOT cancelled. Please continue to use the big lake safely and as you were. We will definitely still be seeing you out there appropriately socially distanced and sporting the biggest ...smiles. A big thank you to Natatlie Fenton for being our photographer for this years poster and as always to Andrea Wray for making Chris’ crazy poster ideas come to life and excel any expectations We are in year 4 now and we couldn’t do it without our beautiful community.
