Wabi Scotia Pottery

The studio has been getting a makeover these last 2 weeks! I'm hoping to be done by Sunday . Normally I wouldn't worry about what my working studio looks like (functionality is way more important). This year, however, we are hoping to move to a house that has a large (*cough* garage *cough*) space for my studio that it outside of our main living space. The basement studio (which would be a rec room) is one of the last rooms in our house that we needed to fix up. Sweet little snack bowls (or cereal bowls) from before Christmas. Honestly, I have about 6 or 7 different bowls this size in my own house and our family of 4 uses them all each day! They are cereal bowls for my kids, a bowl of fruit for myself in the morning, and a bowl of chips (*cough cough, I mean veggie sticks*) in the evening. This chip&dip bowl went out to an old friend from junior high school! How cool is that ? When I saw that she had placed an order, it brought me right back to the good old days (and all the shenanigans we got up to . I still hate anything that tastes similar to coolers ).

I let myself have a little experiment with these ones! And I think they were very well received; definitely a lot of requests for more . You'll see them again in the new year!

Looks like an eye in the first picture! Makes me think of pulling it out of the water at the beach, and the water is dripping down around it. Oh, and it's a large ramen bowl (or buddha bowl), about 9 inches wide. It'll be for sale in the last website update before Christmas. Probably Monday.
