Do you know our Men's Campus Operations Team? (Brandon, Marvin, Dustin, Gregg, Vicki, Jason, Jim, Tony & Taylor plus Kevin and Marty not pictured) This incredibly hard working team runs the day to day operations at our men's campus! They do everything from morning devotions and house meetings, to mechanics, accounting, work program, and so much more! They also spend a lot of time investing in and pouring into the residents. You will often see these team members mentoring, encouraging, and praying with our residents. It's obvious that they love what they do and we are so thankful for each one of them!

Sadly, we as a team have made the VERY difficult decision to postpone our Dinner on the Hill events until spring of 2021. The health and safety of our supporters is always our number one priority and because of the significant rise in COVID-19 cases in BC, we came to this decision. Do you know Samantha? I have seen addiction first-hand; I was very young when I first noticed addiction in my home. I had some incredibly traumatic experiences in my life and needed to suppress the pain, leading me to drink and use drugs. I have been in my addiction for 12 years, which led me to a very broken and godless life. I was very angry towards God. I was taught about God since I was young, but the guilt and bitterness made me push Him aside and instead turn to add...iction. Eventually, I tried to take my own life and while I was at the hospital, a first responder sat with me and shared his own story of similar trauma. The help he got when he was at his rock bottom was really inspiring and led me to seek help of my own. I’m now 8 months into the program at Wagner Hills. My relationship with my son is so strong; he amazes me with his unconditional love for me. He has been my cheerleader, encouraging me every day. I’m continuously working to deepen my relationship with the Lord and want to serve Him however he asks me to. I know I’m meant to help people in some way. I have learned so many things about myself during my time here at Wagner Hills and have learned how to love myself and about how much God loves me. I want to share that with people and to show others how to feel that too. See more

Within 3 months, Jesus has put blessing after blessing in my life: I got new teeth donated by Renew Denture Clinic, the prayers of Hope City Church (my new church) and the healing hands of Jesus took the tumor from my stomach, and my hair is growing back. This past month I’ve really started having an intimate experience with God. He speaks to me through everyone in my life and is guiding me every day. Do you know Mauricio? "The last few years were dark days for me. I lived in misery. I lost hope and gave up on God. I kept telling God, 'I served You, I lived for You, and you couldn't give me a girl?' Little did I know I was being childish and she wasn't for me. I continued to use whatever I could get my hands on. Codeine was my drug of choice, mixing with alcohol. Broken relationships lead me to depression and cutting myself, becoming a habit. In ...January my body shut down and I was put in a drug-induced coma due to kidney and liver failure. God used this time to show me how empty and dark life is without Him. I felt dark entities calling me out, saying I'm next. I started praying to the Lord and quoting Bible verses, which gave me comfort. I could feel prayers around me. It felt like years, but when I came to 13 days later, I knew I wanted to serve the Lord. I've been blessed to have a full recovery, even learning to walk again. I've been sober for 80 days and in this short time the Lord has shown me His love and grace. Confessing my faults has led me to be a positive influencer in Christ. As a soldier of Christ, I want to bring back hope for people who have felt the hurt I've felt. ROLE (Responding to overdose in Langley through education) is a project facilitated by a former alumni Daniel Snyder. Their work in Langley focuses on educating the community about the ongoing overdose crisis, reducing stigma around addiction and offering hope to those impacted by the crisis. They focus on learning workshops both online & in person and provide access to & training for individuals to know how to respond to an overdose ...and administer naloxone. Their services are FREE and available to any group, organization, business, or church who is interested in learning what ROLE they can play in responding to this devastating public health emergency. Reducing stigma is a big part of the work they do, showing that individuals struggling with addiction should not be reduced to just being labeled as 'only addicts' that they are people with potential! Do you know our alumnus Kal? "In high school I began to experiment with drugs and started using regularly. After graduation, most of my friends went onto post-secondary schools or careers while I held temporary jobs, continuing this way of destruction. This 10-year downward spiral led to a full-blown crack cocaine addiction that landed me in jail. About 45 days into my pretrial time, I had an encounter with Jesus Christ which turned into a deep revelatio...n of who He is - my Lord and Saviour. I was released from jail after about 90 days but shortly fell back into my addiction. I knew I had to do something drastic. This led me to Wagner Hills Farm in 2006. Here I learned about who I am in Christ, despite my previous life. In 2007, after completing the one-year program, I began my new life.
