Have you ever felt SOOO passionate, SOOO strongly about something that you will do everything in your power to make that happen? We have and the result is WAIKIKAHEI RANCH! When I was younger I was a vegetarian but it didn’t fit right. I love meat but I hated how animals destined for our plates were often treated. I met Scott when I was 28 and we were both working in the yachting industry and he always talked about ONE DAY owning a ranch and raising grass fed beef. ... We moved to Canada homeless, jobless, pregnant and broke! We lived in our friends’ basement (not a suite...a basement with bikes and tools lol!) but we had our eyes on the prize. We took a roundabout way to get here, but get here we did and 9 years after landing in Canada we bought what is now Waikikahei Ranch. We advocate for the proper treatment of ALL animals, and even though they take longer to grow and mature over grain fed, we raise grass fed beef. It has definitely been a journey with many ups and downs but we wouldn’t have it any other way. Another Announcement I know I have a background in sales but I PROMISE you all, when you call or email and we encourage a deposit to secure your order it really isn’t a sales ploy. I have had to turn down/booked a month later ELEVEN people the last week. We normally sell out 3mos in advance and we post campaigns monthly to ensure a pipeline of sales. Once we have a deposit we allocate you a carcass. And then it cannot be sold to someone else. ... Red our Matriarch has come down with a nasty bout of mastitis. Her 4th Q was rock hard and when we palpated just ran with infection poor Red! We had to lead her all the way back to the house and put her in a pen so we can monitor her and give her meds. She is such a good cow and has been with us since the beginning!

CONVERTING TO KG We have to make the move to everything being in kilos (labels, pricing etc) This is a government requirement. NEW PRICING Due to an increase in processing costs our prices are increasing slightly for 2021.... Front Q, sides and whole cows: $6/lb WHICH IS $13.25/KG (hanging weight) Mixed and Rear Q: $6.25/lb WHICH IS $13.80/KG (Hanging weight) Minisides: $9.50/lb WHICH IS $21/KG Whole cows will be 275kg to 320kg hanging Sides will be 135kg to 160kg Quarters will be 68kg to 80kg Minisides will be 20kg (Our cattle dog rounded up the numbers to make it a little easier)
