The Town of Wainwright is encouraging the wearing of masks inside our recreation facilities. It is strongly recommended to wear masks when you are in a congest...ed area within the facility. The PMM lobby and PlanWright Financial Arena can get congested with people when there are multiple games starting and finishing. We ask that only immediate family wait in the lobby and ask all others to exit the facility promptly to help keep the lobby area from getting congested. If you must stick around we strongly suggest wearing a mask. We are only allowed 100 spectators in each rink at a time and it is up to all of us to continue to be safe and follow all of the AHS protocols. See more

It is with some regret that the Wainwright Arts Council has decided to postpone the Wainwright Arts Festival, which includes both the Literary Night and the Art... Show and Sale in February of 2021. Given the pandemic and restrictions for indoor gathering and COVID-19 cases trending upwards, not down, we’ve decided that the best option for us is to not go forward with the show this year the same way as we have the last 15 years. But, as an organization, we do want to explore an option for a summer arts event instead. Knowing that seven or eight months from now perhaps things have improved, or at least we can attempt to have an outdoor arts event that may look much different than it has in the past, but something that we can look forward to for not only our communities’ artists but also our community who loves the arts. The Wainwright Arts Council took careful consideration before making this decision, and knowing that the art show logistically would be very difficult with the current restrictions and likely not even possible with any further restrictions, we wanted to make the decision early before we spent any funds, or asked any of our wonderful patrons of the arts for sponsorships. Thank you for your attention, and we look forward to planning something fun and different for this summer, no matter how that might look. Keep up with us on our Facebook page, @wainwrightarts to keep informed on what we’re up to. Thanks to our sponsors, artists and patrons who have been so instrumental in keeping the arts alive in Wainwright and area! See more
