#WainwrightWednesday has come again! Today we want to highlight the fantastic Family and Community services which make Wainwright an even better place to live! Wainwright & District FCS provides programs for people of all ages. They support programs for seniors including the Living at Home program, which provides basic assistance to help folks remain independent. FCS also put on skills workshops for all ages to become active members of their community. They provide individual... and family counselling, along with other family programs like the Healthy Families Program and the Parent Link Centre. Wainwright & District Parent Link Centre provides free parenting and play programs. Even Developmental Screening! Enjoy time with your kids on their Indoor Playground for Drop-In-Play, or come as a caregiver for Positive Parenting or another information session. Thank you to all those in Wainwright who help our home be a healthy place for families and children to grow up! https://www.wdfcs.ca/programs/

This #wainwrightwednesday is all about Wainwright Communities in Bloom Society. Communities in Bloom has spent a great deal of time and effort keeping our town beautiful. They've hosted and co-hosted numerous events such as the Lady Bug Picnic held in Wallace Park. We appreciate their dedication and the town's support of them and recommend visitors attend their events or merely enjoy the scenery in town. https://wainwright.ca//parks-recreat/communities-in-bloom/

August is here! The changing display this month is special because it is just the beginning of a new, permanent display on the history of Wainwright from its beginning through the development of our town over the decades. If you want a sneak peak of what is coming, come check out a few select pieces of the display today!

For today's #wainwrightwednesday we turn our attention towards our furry friends. Wainwright's off leash dog "Bark" park is the perfect place to let your traveling companion stretch their legs. Located at 1410-1 Avenue, this park provides an enclosed space to let your pet run free. It is asked that you please look after your pet and clean up any mess made. There is no on-site tap so it is recommended you have water on hand for your pet. A reminder not to leave your pets unattended in a vehicle for any amount of time. Even with all the rain temperatures are still very high and being left in a vehicle is dangerous to their health. https://www.google.com//data=!4m9!1m3!2m2!1sbark+park+wain
