The Legion lounge will reopen on Wednesday July 22, at 3pm. Operating hours will be Wed Saturday 3-8 pm All customers must wear at face mask at all times, except when sitting at their table. Face masks must be worn upon entry or exiting the building, when ordering or when using the washrooms.... All guests must use hand sanitizer upon entering the building and must sign in with name and phone number. All guests must adhere to social distancing rules and follow signage posted in the lounge for ordering. Tables and chairs may not be moved from the position that they are in. ATM will be in use and cash only at bar. One dart board will be available for use, no other activities will be available at this time. The daily and weekly draws will not be in play at this time, however Nevada break open tickets will be sold. Draft glasses may only be used once. Please note smoking area has been moved, all guests must smoke only in designated area, with social distancing rules adhered to. The bar steward has the authority to refuse service to those not adhering to these rules.

This year's Remembrance Day will be very quiet Our Remembrance Dinner will proceed with a limit of 50 people in attendance to honour our veterans. Nov 7th at the branch, cocktails at 5:30, plated dinner at 6pm. Tickets are available at the branch and are $18.00. Please show your support in honouring those that in so many ways have honoured you, and enjoy a wonderful meal while doing so. Remembrance Day / Poppy Campaign 2020: Branch 102 of the Royal Canadian Legion will be par...ticipating in the Annual Poppy Campaign, starting Friday October 30. Due to the many COVID 19 restrictions, there will be some changes. There will be No Church Service, No service at long term care facilities, No parade to Cenotaph. There will be a cenotaph service but no bystanders the service will be live streamed on the Legion’s face book page starting at 10:50 am on the 11th of Nov. There will be a ceremony at the Mildmay cenotaph as well, again with no bystanders starting at 1:20pm on Nov. 11th. There will be volunteers canvassing at the entrances to: Kaufman’s Valumart, Foodland, Tim Horton’s and the Post office, however the hours will be limited. Poppy Counter Donation Boxes will be placed in some stores, in Walkerton, Mildmay, Cargill. Anyone wishing to donate to the Poppy Fund, purchase a Wreath or Cross; can do so by dropping into the Branch, calling the Branch 519 881-0821 or 519 378-9244. Large Wreath $80.00, Small Wreath $30.00 medium $50.00, Cross $45.00. The branch will pre-position your wreath at the Cenotaph for you, prior to the service. Branch 102 will be holding a food bank drive, a box will be in the foyer of the lounge, and if you are able you can drop off any of the following items; Personal hygiene products, toys or gifts for children/teens, slippers, socks, pjs, gift cards or whatever you feel would be appropriate. The box will be available from November 30th until Dec 7th. Please ensure that all items are bagged. Thank you for your generosity to those in need.
