PLEASE SHARE POLICE SEARCHING FOR FORCIBLE CONFINMENT SUSPECT Seeking the public’s assistance LONDON, ON (October 21, 2020) London ...police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a recent investigation involving an online dating platform. On Sunday, October 18, 2020 an adult female met a male online. The female met the suspect male in a downtown parking lot and entered the man’s vehicle. The man invited the woman to attend another location, but she declined the invitation. The female attempted to exit the vehicle, however, the male physically confined her inside the car. The female was eventually able to exit the vehicle in the south end of the city, and she fled on foot. Police were contacted at approximately 6:50 a.m. on October 18, 2020, and attended to the female’s location on Longwoods Road. The female victim did not sustain any physical injuries. Police searched the area, but the suspect was not located. The male suspect is described as 35-45 years of age, approximately 5’06, average build, short black hair, with a light black beard. He was wearing a white and black long sleeved sweater, blue jeans, a white and plaid baseball cap and black sandals with a red ‘Under Armour’ logo. (please see the attached photo on our website) The vehicle is described as being a black or dark blue Ford Fusion with a white hood with rust spots on it. There was no front licence plate on the vehicle. There was a yellow and white rear licence plate. Police would like to remind people to meet in public places when meeting unknown individuals using on-line services, and to report anything suspicious. Anyone with information in relation to this incident or the individual in the photo is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
