You may have already seen this, but in case you haven't... Note that Dr. Weese does say not to panic: "We try to balance awareness with 'don't freak out' messaging. We don't want people running, screaming from every dog and cat they see.

WARNING: very sad kitten story We received this message from someone in our community and are sharing it with permission. As with all unexpected pet tragedies, our heart goes out to this family and we place no blame. Our hope is that by sharing, our audience might make a few modifications at home and learn from this unfortunate story. We had a fake pre lit tree that we had up for Halloween. Our 5 month old kitten Cinder would mess around with the ornaments and try to climb... it. We've had it up for a week no issues. We came home from work last night and she was hanging in the tree from the Christmas light cord it was wrapped so tight we couldn't get it off her. We knew she was already passed but we were still panicking. Mostly in shock really. We have older animals in the house so she basically was the life of the house. What's more awful is our other cat was at the door meowing so loud when we got home so I know he saw the whole thing happen. RIP Cinder.

Just went through the photos from the Zoom-based instructor course this past weekend. It’s a shame that photos can’t fully capture the enthusiasm and drive of these students. We are in the middle of some trying times in our country. These 5 rose above the obstacles to tackle pursuing an addition to their careers. They are so inspiring. A couple of them have already booked their co-teaches. We can’t wait to see them in the classroom!... We are about to announce the next instructor course dates. Stay tuned here!

Our participants at Saving Grace Animal Society posted this photo today. So thankful this sweet dog is being helped. Keeping your animal leashed and not allowing them to wander is one way to prevent porcupine encounters. Hoping to see a happy tail update on this pooch soon!

Continuing education. WNW Instructors are thirsty for knowledge! They also like working with our head office in keeping our program up to date. Yesterday, a half dozen of the WNW instructor family attended this very informative webinar with Pet Poison Helpline. Knowing how to prevent animal poisoning, the first steps to take if there is a poison event, and who to call are critical.... We want to take a moment to acknowledge the WNW instructor family today. As a small business, navigating and surviving a pandemic is no easy task. Instructors have to keep on top of our Health & Safety plan and their regional guidelines. They have to work to secure venues in a climate where many won’t allow access. They are teaching smaller classes and adapting their teaching strategies to accommodate distancing. All this to continue to ensure a safe course experience for eve...ryone. Instructors are doing all of the above with a smile. Our instructors are so dedicated and truly are a tight-knit family. We are incredibly grateful for their loyalty, their creativity and their commitment. Thank you Team WNW!
