Alláh-u-Abhá (Arabic: , Allhu Abh "God is the Most Glorious") is a greeting that Baháís use when they meet each other. Abhá is a superlative of the word Bahá, and a form of the Greatest Name.

Abdu'l-Baha said substantially, in likening the Cause of God to a Garden: 'At the gate of the garden some stand and look within, but do not care to enter. Others step inside, behold its beauty, but do not penetrate far. Still others encircle this garden inhaling the fragrance of the flowers, having enjoyed its full beauty, pass out again by the same gate. But there are always some who enter and, becoming intoxicated with the splendor of what they behold, remain for life to tend the garden'."

The Bahá’í Faith began with the mission entrusted by God to two Divine Manifestationsthe Báb and Bahá’u’lláh. Born two centuries ago, in October 1819, the Báb announced that He was the bearer of a message destined to transform the life of humanity, which stood at the threshold of a new era. He called for a spiritual and moral reformation, to improve the position of women and the lot of the poor. He founded a distinct and independent religion, inspiring His followers to transform their lives and carry out great acts of heroism. The Báb’s mission was to prepare the way for Bahá’u’lláh.

He, the Centre of the Covenant, the Greatest Mystery of God, stayed here. ‘Abdu’l-Bahá stayed in the home of May and William Sutherland Maxwell during His six-day visit to Montréal. This house is now the only Bahá’í Shrine in Canada. ‘Abdu’l-Bahá referred to the dwelling as His home. The visit was a great honour conferred upon Canada and the city of Montréal the city that ‘Abdu’l-Bahá hoped would become so stirred, that the melody of the Kingdom may travel to all parts of the world from that Dominion and the breaths of the Holy Spirit may spread from that centre to the East and the West of America

I had the bounty of visiting Mr. Hossein Amanat at his office here in Vancouver and congratulate him. House of Justice announced the appointment of Hossein Amanat as the Shrine’s architect. The distinguished Iranian-Canadian architect is best known for his designs of three of the buildings of the Arc on Mount Carmel in Haifa as well as the Azadi Tower in Tehran.

Hello Farhang A huge "Thank You" for participating with the VVC on Canada Day and to Farhang for spending his birthday with us. The Feedback received on how Vancouver Volunteers Crop participated during the event and especially at the end of the night with Transit was amazing. (Translink posted the photo they took of VVC on Twitter) Those crowds continued to grow over the night and by the end were pretty massive. ... Farhang, you did a terrific job and it is appreciated!!! HAPPY RIDVAN TO EVERYONE It may interest you to know that the Festival of Riván, is a 12-day Bahá'í festival, commemorating the public declaration of Bahá'u'lláh, the Prophet-Founder of the Bahá'í Faith. ... It begins at sunset on April 20 and continues until sunset, May 2. On the first (April 21), ninth (April 29) and twelfth days of Ridván (May 2), work and school are suspended. "Ridván" means paradise, and is named for the Garden of Ridván outside Baghdad where Bahá'u'lláh stayed for twelve days after the Ottoman Empire exiled him from Baghdad and before commencing his journey to Constantinople. The Festival of Riván is considered by the Bahá'ís as the "Most Great Festival", the "King of Festivals" and marks the high point of the Bahá'í year.

WHY WALK? Since the year 1998 I have been volunteering as a Baha'i Gardener. Over the years of perseverance and total commitment able to transform the barren land into a luscious beautiful garden.A garden which becomes a vehicle of teaching to neighbors and passerby. I have been walking and teaching since July 2010 inspired and transformed by a reflection meeting for sincere and sacrificial commitment to spread Bahai seeds and to carry the message of Baha’u’llah to everyone.... Along the route of my walk called upon friends to have a quick ‘Home Visit’ to pray together and continued my journey sowing the seeds of His revelation. O that I could travel, even though on foot and in the utmost poverty, to these regions, and, raising the call of " Ya Baha'u'l-Abha" in cities, villages, mountains, deserts and oceans, promote the divine teachings. This, alas, I cannot do. How intensely I deplore it. Please God, ye may achieve it..... "Abdu'l-Baha" " The field is indeed so immense, the period so critical, the cause so great, the workers so few, the time so short, the peivilge so pricless, that no follower of the Faith of Baha'u'llah, worthy to bear His name, can afford a moment's hesitation. "Shoghi Effendi"

Please investigate the Baha'i Faith. The Bahá'í Faith is a Religion teaching the essential worth of all religions, and the unity and equality of all people.... Established by Baha'u'llah. In 1863, it initially grew in Iran and parts of the Middle East where it has faced ongoing persecution since its inception. It grew from the mid-19th-century Babi Religion whose founder The BAB taught that God would soon send a messanger the same way of Jesus or Muhammad. In 1863, after being banished from his native Iran, Bahá'u'lláh (1817-1892) announced that He was this messanger. He was further exiled, spending over a decade in the prison city of Akka. Following Bahá'u'lláh's passing in 1892, leadership of the religion fell to his son Abdu’l-baha (18441921), and later his great-grandson Shoghi Effendi 18971957). Bahá'ís around the world annually elect local, regional, and national Spiritual Assembly that govern the affairs of the religion, and every five years the members of all National Spiritual Assemblies elect the Universal House of Justice the nine-member supreme governing institution of the worldwide Bahá'í community, which sits in Haifa Israel. Bahá'u'lláh taught that religion is orderly and progressively revealed by one God through Manfestation of God who are the founders of major world religions throughout history; Buddha, Jesus and Mohammed being the most recent in the period before the Bab and Bahá'u'lláh. Bahá'ís regard the major religions as fundamentally unified in purpose, though varied in social practices and interpretations. There is a similar emphasis on the unity of all religions rejecting notions of racism and nationalism. At the heart of Bahá'í teachings is the goal of a unified world order that ensures the prosperity of all nations, races, creeds, and classes.
