Maintenance Tip #2 Lubricate everything! Anything that moves should be lubricated!... Hinges Door locks Jacks Hitches Windows Dividers Bearings(but thats for another day) Hinges, locks etc have steel parts inside them, road grime, dirt, snow, water and everything gets in them. Keeping them Lubricated will ensure everything moves freely! We recommend a rust inhibiting/ penetrating fluid. Or we can do it while your trailer is here! $15

It's that time of year ... Going to start posting maintenance tips! #1 TIP! UNDERCOAT! - We live in Atlantic Canada, salt is hard on our trailers!... If you have an aluminum trailer, your axles are still steel. They are the most costly replacement on your trailer. Undercoat them yearly! Aluminum skin, steel frame trailers are most prone to rust and corrosion. These trailers most need to be undercoated. If you see multiple rivets popping out along the bottom side of the trailer,. its a good sign you have some significant rust developing under the aluminum. Steel trailers - most people are aware of the signs of rust, but typically rust starts along the floor / wall seam as well as in and around the fenders. The joints are where it starts, keep on top of it to extend the life of your trailer! Not sure what your trailer is made out of? A magnet will only stick to steel, if will not stick to aluminum.
