It’s a tough day for Albertans but we will persevere. I know all Canadians everywhere have Fort McMurray in their thoughts and prayers. If we think back to the ...history of Fort Mac, people from all across the country started from nothing and built it to be the economic engine of this country. It will take many months and years to rebuild, and it will test everyone’s resolve, but I have hope and faith because these are Albertans and the people of Fort McMurray are a very resilient group. Their hard work has benefited all of us and I know people from across the country will pull together to support them now. I’m glad the Federal Government is moving forward with my recommendation and will match donations Canadians make to the Red Cross.
