Interior Designer Megan Dougherty created a seasonal mood board inspired by 2020. We are in the chillier months, bringing a sense of warmth and comfort to our spaces is important. There is no doubt that this year’s trends made a shift when the Covid-19 pandemic took place. Specific finishes are selected for their sanitary and anti-microbial properties, such as providing clean wipeable surfaces and seating. We also see materials inspired by the therapeutic power of nature, ...aiding in our mental health and creating a sense of overall wellness within our work environments. Monochromatic colour palettes are trending as well, using soft hues, and dramatic colour shades. In preparation for the upcoming carving contest, our Social Club Committee sent staff and their families out to a local farm to pick their perfect pumpkin. We’ll be carving up our creations over the weekend, so stay tuned to see the winning entries early next week. A special thanks to the folks at Shantz Family Farm for making this fun fall excursion possible!

With new housing development comes new opportunities for wildlife. Our Water Resources team had the opportunity to take a pond offline, move a road and redesign a creek all in the same job. The results created new habitats and a new outdoor area and walking trail for residents of the Hunt Club subdivision in Cambridge to enjoy. Civil Engineer Rushin Khakharia grew up in the coastal city of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, but he always had big aspirations to discover the world. That desire brought him to the Great White North, and later to our firm.
