FRIDAY FEEDBACK: Do you have more ideas to help avoid any tragic guest-list misunderstandings I would love to hear them below!

Everything you need to know about setting the perfect table at your next event... Let's face it, winter came early to Alberta and it's got us all thinking about snowy festivities and holiday parties, so here are my tips for nailing your table setting cutlery etiquette! A standard flatware set is made up of basic pieces:... -a dinner knife -a dinner fork -a salad fork -a tablespoon and -a dessert spoon Now you're ready to set them in place: The dinner fork goes to the left of the dinner plate and the salad fork goes to the left of the dinner fork Place the knife to the right of the dinner plate and then set the tablespoon to the right of the knife. The dessert should be placed horizontally above the dinner plate and voila, you've got a beautifully set table for next gathering! And always remember that "traditional" doesn't neccessarily mean "right"! Think personalized thank you notes and messages, even on place settings! ~Going back to tradition. Weddings will go back to their start; making memories with friend...s and family, and taking place in venues close to home and to the heart. ~Weddings will become even more about the experience! Think cool (mobile) cocktail bars instead of standard paid bars or even interactive activities for guests (guest sketch artists, anyone?) ~Sustainability. I hope everyone has been enjoying the beginning of summer. I have to say I’m definitely a fan of the heat and have enjoyed a couple of days outside. I’m getting excited for some upcoming weddings and consultations!

These last 3.5 years have been great! I’ve got to meet some of the most wonderful people and play a small part in so many beautiful celebrations. I absolutely love getting to know more about the organizers of each event and what really makes them tick. What makes YOU tick. As many know I also work another full-time job and I am looking for someone to take over the reins of Wanderlust. I will continue to take bookings but am hoping to find someone who shares the same passion for people and details to take over for me. I’m in no rush and look forward to meeting more people and helping you to plan the ultimate celebrations.
