Hi, I'm Ela, and I run this joint. I'm the creative director, photographer du jour and a big believer in laughing over crying as an emotional release (even though I have done a lot of the latter over the last few months). I have been locked out of my studio for the last 2 months - since November 25th, 2020, and it looks like this will continue for a few more months - I'm guessing April/May? ... I am helping my 2 young kids navigate virtual school, that is going ok. My house is currently a giant mess, I am tired of cooking (even though I'm decent at it), I like unsweetened almond milk in my coffee, I like anything outdoorsy, and I miss having things to look forward to - seems like everything I plan gets kyboshed. I love being creative, and photography is not my only outlet, so I may start sharing some of my other creative pursuits on here. Let me know what you think about that. Does this capture how you feel about elementary schools being closed till at least January 25th? We were leaning toward home schooling for an extra couple of weeks because of the high case numbers in Toronto anyway, but I feel for the parents who don't have a "spare" (in this case one locked out of her business) parent to manage online learning. ...
