To our clients: Please note that our business is listed as part the essential business as detailed by the Ontario government and therefore our offices are open and we are continuing to provide our services to our clients. We have made a few changes to our procedures as follows:... - There will be no face to face meetings, all communication will done via telephone and email. - There will be a drop off box just inside our front door for clients to place their information. - Upon completion of the file, we will have a telephone discussion with our clients and arrange for signatures to be done electronically. - Clients will not be able to pick up the completed returns until after the 14 day lockdown as prescribed by Ontario (or longer if extended). We are taking precautionary measures and trying to limit the interaction between our staff and our clients for everyone's protection. We will maintain a 2 meter separation between our clients and our staff. We will not shake hands. We are trying to limit the amount of face to face meetings. We are recommending that tax documentation are dropped off at the office and that w...e communicate via telephone for initial discussions. Communication via emailing and scanning is also recommended. Upon completion of tax returns, we will give the client the following options: attending the office for signing, in depth review of the return over the telephone, scheduling a meeting for review of the return at a later date and electronic communication of the signing pages and the tax return itself. Payments can also be received remotely either by credit card over the phone or by e-transfer to [email protected] The well being of our staff and our clients are our priority and we urge anyone that is not feeling well to use our alternative methods to communicate us. We have instructed our staff to maintain a high level of hygiene and our staff have discretion to limit any interaction with any client exhibiting signs of illness.
