The Last Battle of the War of 1812 north of the Great Lakes. American General McArthur & over 750 mounted cavalry arrived at the banks of the Grand River, Upper Canada, near D'Aubigny Creek. The intent was to cross and attack Six Nations villages. They didn't cross but veered south to Oakland and there encountered a force of militia about 25% their strength.
