Warden Woods Community Centre is rolling out a free telephone program for seniors and caregivers! We understand that many of us may be feeling isolated from our... community right now, and therefore we are reaching out in order to meet you right where are you. If you are 55+ and missing social outings, learning new things, and connecting with others, please join us! This program will be held entirely over the phone, and participants can join group calls directly from the comfort of their own homes. There are several programs to choose from, some of which include: Coffee n’ Chat, Chair Fitness, Mindfulness, Name that Tune, Guest Speakers, and many more. These programs will be conference phone calls with small groups of people. Rites of Passage is Back! We're collaborating with one of our community partners to facilitate WoodGreen’s Rites of Passage (ROP) process which offers an 18-we...ek program that aims to enhance youth’s (ages 12-26) confidence, self-awareness, and resilience as they move from adolescence to adulthood. The ROP approach provides an African-centered framework combined with resources and supports to serve as conditions for young people to develop an increased sense of purpose and self-value, demonstrate the capacity to navigate social support systems, and demonstrate an increased capacity to make positive contributions to their community.
