Due to the circumstances surrounding the Covid-19 situation, Warkworth Minor Baseball has cancelled baseball this season. We heavily rely on Community Sponsorship as well as our annual Little Caesars Pizza kit fundraising event. This event has always been a great fundraiser for our organization. We have used the money in the past to help with equipment costs and field renovations. We are excited to announce that we are still able to run our fundraiser this year. Albeit we are... going to need to complete it differently than usual. We won't be distributing forms and having players sell kits. The local executive will be collecting funds via e-transfers and online ordering payments. We are extremely hopeful we will be able to surpass our typical fundraising goals. It is with great regret that our Quinte Baseball League Executive has made the decision to cancel our house league baseball for the 2020 season. The health and safety of our members and players is our number one priority when these decisions are reached. This decision is made based on the uncertainty concerning Covid 19, and the challenges of social distancing guidelines if restrictions were to be relaxed or lifted. We know that this news will be disappointing to the childre...n of our communities and I assure you as an executive, we share that same disappointment! Our hope is to ensure that by making this difficult decision, we will be able to return to the game we love so much with no restrictions in 2021. Hey everyone, last night we hosted the wrap up banquet for the season, what a great season it was for everyone involved, warkworth had another good showing on and off the field. All of the award winners are posted below, if you weren't able to make it and did win an award please contact me asap to collect. Tball medallions were handed out and Ryan and Ashley have those too.
