You are all more than well aware of the press conference from Sask Health yesterday limiting the size of private gatherings and the comment that Health will be auditing hockey practices and games to ensure we are all complying with the protocols. Please everyone continue to follow all of these protocols set forth by Sask. Health, Saskatchewan Hockey, and Warman Minor Hockey. As well, please see the memo released this afternoon from Saskatchewan Hockey. Thank you
Attention Warman Minor Membership You may or may not have heard the news, that Martensville Minor Hockey has announced a 2-week suspension of all hockey. We were in discussions with Saskatchewan Hockey yesterday and at this moment, Warman Minor will be continuing operations until health or Sask. Hockey directs otherwise. The executive would really like to thank all the players, parents, coaches, and managers for how well you are all doing to date following all the return to... play protocols. With the increased numbers throughout the province, we all need to work even extra hard to ensure we in Warman are following every protocol to the fullest. Things to Remember: -Masks always must be worn. -Health Screening needs to be completed. If you choose not to complete the one provided by your team (for example if your team uses the Team Snap app), that is up to you but you do have to always complete the Government of Saskatchewan Self-Assessment and if you or your child do answer yes to any of the questions, you have to stay away. Please understand it is better to sacrifice one practice or game to avoid missing 2 plus weeks for yourselves and potentially others. -Sanitize when entering the facility and in between every period. -All outside skills coaches and instructors will be suspended for a 2-week period (December 1 or until further notice, this is effective immediately. -All Dryland (off ice team) activities will be suspended for a 2-week period (December 1). This will be for every team under the Warman Minor umbrella, this is effective immediately. -We are recommending that players warm-up and stretch before games at home. Any stretching that does occur in the dressing room needs to be with masks on and maintain 6 feet distance between each other. -Maintain 6 feet social distance whenever possible. Please do not sit or stand within 6 feet of the next spectator. -Posted entrance times always need to be followed. No exceptions. -Maximum Spectator allowances always need to be followed. -All players need to have individual water bottles, absolutely no sharing allowed (you may want to come with it already filled). These protocols are fluid in that they are subject to change at any moment. We all need to do everything we can whether we agree with any or all these protocols because it is not about us, it is about the kids and the health/safety of everyone. The kids just want to play and be with their friends, so do it for them. Thank you to all of you for your due diligence to these very important protocols. Warman Minor Hockey
