Still just over 5 hours to get in line to vote. Just after 8pm tonight, check this site out to learn who is our next city councillor for Ward 7. Get Excited For A Better Saskatoon! https://electionresults.saskatoon.ca/pages/ward-7
If you would like a ride or need assistance getting to the polls today, please call my campaign at 306-250-7614. Whether you’re voting for me or one of the other three awesome candidates, we’ll be ready to help you out. This picture was taken the first day Rebecca and I started door knocking on September 7th. Most people were unaware that an election was even about to happen! Hard to believe that was over two months ago and even harder to believe that I’ve been campaigning ...since August 28th. Thanks to all the volunteers, thanks to everyone who put up with us interrupting dinners, getting dogs into barking frenzies, and most of all, thanks for telling us what you think would make our city an even more awesome place to live. This race has been extremely competitive and whoever wins will recognize Ward 7 isn’t content with the status quo and that more can be done to represent the overall perspective of the residents who live here. More voting options announced in the last few minutes. Ebenezer Baptist Church in Silverspring has just been announced as the 7th polling location. This is in addition to Prairieland Park. So many places to vote for Darcy Warrington! Hope people can make it out on Friday, November 13th between 9am-8pm. We’ll know who makes up our next City Council tomorrow night.
Good news Ward 7 residents! There is now a polling station at Prairieland Park on Friday November 13. Please take this opportunity to cast your vote.... Edit: Ebenezer Baptist Church is also a polling location.
Good morning, Ward 7. I posted about the roads this morning but apparently my connection failed and it never showed up. Long story short, Stonebridge has seen some great work today and yesterday to make mobility and recycling pick-up possible again. Thanks to everyone who made it all happen and shared their concerns with city officials. I’d like to thank all the teachers out there for working so hard and everyday during these difficult times. Today is our first indoor recess.... Doing this during a pandemic is challenging to the say the least. The students are more or less confined to their room for 6 hours and teachers do an incredible job to mitigate risk while providing an education for kids. Whether it’s popular for me to say or not, I think our provincial government missed an opportunity to lower transmission in Saskatoon, today with some potential temporary restrictions. We hadn’t seen students since Friday and making a tough call to keep kids home for two more days might have prevented a more serious future lockdown. Childcare is obviously a concern to keep the economy rolling but I worry that we’ll see a more significant lockdown like our neighbours in Manitoba. Hopefully, I’m wrong but if nothing else, thank a teacher for what they’re doing at schools today, tomorrow, and for the rest of the year.
