STEAK WITH WHITE BEANS AND WILD MUSHROOMS WHAT YOU NEED: 10.5 oz. (300g) rib-eye steak, fat removed... 2 springs rosemary, leaves only 2 cloves garlic, sliced 7 oz. (200g) mixed wild mushroom 14 oz. (400g) can cannellini beans 1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar salt and pepper WHAT YOU NEED TO DO: Heat a large pan on a medium-high heat. Rub the steak with a pinch of salt and black pepper, then sear the steak for 4 minutes on each side, remove the steak from the pan, cover with tin foil and rest for 5-10 minutes. Reduce the heat to medium, and in the same pan add the mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes until starting to brown. Add the rosemary leaves and the garlic slices to the mushrooms and cook for a further minute, stirring constantly to stop the garlic from burning. Now add in the cannellini beans and their juice, as well as the vinegar. Season to taste with salt and pepper and simmer for 5-6 minutes. Once ready, pour the steak juices on top of the bean and mushroom mixture and give it a quick stir to combine. Now divide the bean and mushroom mixture between 2 bowls. Take the steak and cut it into slices. Lay the sliced steak over the beans, splitting the portion of meat between bowls. Serve immediately. I know you are afraid. Right now, there’s something you want to accomplish, but fear is standing in your way. You may be thinking...... . What if I fail? What if people make fun of me? what if I lose money? What if it doesn’t work? Look, those are all valid concerns. If fact, it’s totally normal to fear all of that stuff! Anyone who tells you to be fearless is ether full of shit, or stupid as fuck. Being fearless is impossible. What you need is COURAGE! Courage means going into the unknown IN SPITE OF YOUR FEARS. See, in the beginning there is not much difference between the coward in the courageous person. The only difference is, the coward listens to his fears and becomes a slave to them. But the courageous person goes after his or her goals in spite of the fears! So yeah, I know you are afraid of something right now because EVERYONE is. But how you respond to that fear will determine the outcomes of your life. Leave a in the comments if you agree

Priorities change. If you would have asked me why I worked out 20 years ago - it was virtually 100% for aesthetics. I wanted to look good. ... Big. Strong. Lean. All of it. I wanted all of it. Now? Eh. I enjoy looking good, sure. Now I want to be a role model. I want to lead by example and show everybody how important it is to be physically active. Now? I want to avoid the health & joint issues that pervade so much of our society as they enter middle age. I want to get stronger in the gym - because it makes me stronger mentally. It ties into other areas of life. Once I see myself achieving my goals in the gym, I feel infinitely more confident attacking all of my other life goals. Success breeds success. I want to be big , strong , lean ...and I don't want to live in the gym. I'd rather enjoy time with my family & friends & work (I LOVE my work. It's my passion). I'm not trying to be a bodybuilder, cut, chiseled, ripped, jacked or swole (nothing wrong with anyone who is - it's just not for me at this stage of my life). I'm simply trying to achieve best body and best life. Have your priorities changed? Look, I'm not against aggressive transformations. My Toned in 90 At Home program, in fact, is fairly aggressive. But.... It’s not accomplished through unsustainable methods like crash dieting or working out 6-7 days/week. I think they work great for some people. However... Often times what people do: - Completely abstain from alcohol - No carbs - No "dirty" foods - ? - Extreme calorie restriction Why does this work? Well, take someone who is eating let's say on average 2-3 g/carbs per lb. of bodyweight daily who then reduces to less than 50 g daily? - Glycogen (stored carbs in muscle/liver) loss - Water loss Add this in with working out 4-6 days per week and the calorie deficit and you will see an incredible transformation in a short period of time. The problem? Once this person is "done" with their short term transformation, what do they want to do? Celebrate! Hello: Carbs All the foods they restricted Alcohol Glycogen, water and weight back up. Now, again, this doesn't happen. The way to come out of an aggressive transformation is to have awareness from the start. Understand it's short term, meant to build momentum, and afterwards you will need to adjust to a more sustainable approach. For the rest of you, you need to have a period where you're super aggressive - and in fact this works well for a lot of people. Getting stronger and staying in a moderate deficit (20-25% below maintenance) for the most part will work great for you. While you won't be the person who has the amazing 21 Day Transformation pics, you'll be amazed at your progress after 6, 12 and 18 months. And your methods will be sustainable. NOBODY CAN MOTIVATE YOU, ONLY YOU CAN MOTIVATE YOU. Motivational videos are not going to magically make you successful. For most people, it only gives them the illusion that they’re doing something.... If you watch Michael Jordan shoot a 3-pointer a thousand times, will you be able to do the same? Before you can use the motivation, you need skills. And to get the skills you need, there are 3 pieces 1) Proximity Proximity is power. You need feedback from someone. It could be a coach or someone you look up to. You need to get as close to that person as possible. Otherwise, how will you know if you’re shooting the ball correctly? What if there’s a better and easier way? 2) Immersion How do you get good at something? You immerse yourself in that one thing. Watching a couple of videos cannot teach you how to become the best basketball player. What’s the one thing in your life right now that you’re the best at? How did you get good at that? Through days, months, or even years of focused immersion. 3) Experience Now that you have the coach close to you, and you’re totally immersed in what you want to be successful at You need to put what you learn into action. Through that comes experience. And from experience comes mastery. I can tell you, +80% of my students have never stepped into a gym or thought they would buy workout equipment for their home. Yet, when they followed these 3 steps, they upgraded their body, mindset and nutrition habits every day. To the point where they now use their positive experience to improve their relationships, change other people’s lives, and take ownership of the lives they want to live. Until you do this, motivational videos are not going to work for you. Now, if you want to use your motivation to take action and follow these 3 steps, comment ME below and I’ll reach out to you for the next steps. After that, you’ll know what you need to do to become successful. What is your one takeaway from this brief breakdown? Comment below.

WHY YOU’RE NOT LOSING FAT This is not an exhaustive list of reasons why you’re not losing fat - just what came to mind as I made this graphic. Listen up. This post is important. 1. All-or-Nothing Mindset Too many of you have the "all in" or "completely off the rails" mentality. One slight derailment from the plan, and you're done - you give up. You overeat, feel like crap - and then eat more to feel better. The key? Right. Back. On. One unhealthy meal is nothing. Dust yourself off, and Right. Back. On.... 2. Lack of Consistency You may have great weeks - but it's hard for you to string together several months - let alone a year of effort into a healthy regimen. Unless you're sick or traveling - there are no more excuses. Your training sessions should be a non-negotiable appointment in your calendar. 3. Extreme Restriction This will only lead to binging later. Yes, you need to sacrifice, but not in an extreme way. Save room for occasional treats several times per week for your own sanity and long-term success. 4. Lack of patience Some of you give up way too quickly if you don't see immediate results. Weight loss is a bumpy, undulating road down. Some weeks you'll lose, some weeks you'll gain, some weeks you'll stay the same. Look at where you started, and where you're at now - play the long game. 5. Trends instead of principles Keto, intermittent fasting, butter in your coffee, Paleo, 6 meals per day, carnivore diet - all trends. Principles? Energy balance. Calorie deficit. These will stand the test of time. Eat in a way you enjoy - and embrace the principles, not the trends. 6/7. Lack of accountability/social support Are you relying on yourself alone to lose weight? Sure, it can be done. But you'd make it much easier on yourself seeking accountability and/or social support from family, friends, a coach or weight loss support group. Research shows people are much more successful when they have support and can align themselves with people who have similar interests/goals. I hope you found this helpful. CLIENT TESTIMONIAL FROM EMMA! "My name is Emma , I am a 45 year old mum of four living in Edmonton. I am a Day Home Consultant which is a varied job that I enjoy greatly, although a big part of my day is spent sitting at my desk. When I came to Kyle I had already begun a work out regime but wasn't seeing many results either on the scales or in my measurements.... I was at a point of frustration and felt like I was never going to shed the stubborn weight or find my jawline again! I decided to join the Online Coaching Program because I needed motivation, accountability and most importantly a knowledgeable person to guide me in the right direction. I almost didn't join because I had convinced myself that I was always going to be the shape I was, despite all the hard work and time I had already invested. The results have been amazing. I am motivated, feel happier looking in the mirror. I have reignited my enthusiasm for running. I have learnt that I don't need to eat as much as I was, and that just because I am working out doesn't justify making unhealthy eating choices. I am surprised to have found a waistline once again and the jaw line is making an appearance too. The best piece of advice I think I have received from Kyle is that if you wait around to feel motivated, you're never going to do it. You just have to start because your brain is incredibly clever at talking you out of doing things. I would highly recommend this program for several reasons. Kyle is an engaging, respectful and motivating person. He is incredibly knowledgeable and his holistic approach to health ensures that you are making changes in both your eating habits and work out regimes. The app has been a great checklist for me. I like being able to check off that I have walked 10k steps, that I have drunk my 3 litres of water - it gives me a daily sense of achievement. I would recommend this program to anyone who has felt they are stuck in a rut. It is for anyone who is looking for achievable challenges and changes." Thank you so much for the lovely word Emma! We are only just beginning! If you feel like you stuck, struggling, unmotivated or your just unsure where to start comment "#me" below!!

What pains me most? Most of you will read this and do nothing different. Everyone says they want to DO MORE until they realize that means MORE. Than you find excuses that keep you exactly where you are because growth is scary.... You see FEAR always precedes SUCCESS. No one has ever done something great in their life sticking to being unhealthy and out of shape. If you’re comfortable Realize that comfort is the TRAP and discomfort is where you build STRENGTH. If you prefer to keep things familiar than you’ll never experience freedom and building your own business is not for you. 1 If you complain, you’re stuck in a victim mindset. 2 If you’re broke stop spending money on crap that doesn’t serve you. 3 If you’re a hater, drop your insecurities and focus on YOU. 4 If you lose, learn from it until you win. 5 If you are not willing to change then your circumstances won’t change. 6 If you’re living in the past than you’ll never manifest your future. 7 If you keep making excuses than you really don’t want it. You’re either busy dying or you’re busy growing but you can’t do both. Start recognizing obstacles in your life as opportunities for growth. Start recognizing troubles as training to get tougher. There is less than 60 days left in 2020 and it’s time to START now. Now equals No Opportunity Wasted. You don’t need to destroy your mind body and soul in the gym. You don’t need to be dead after every workout. You don’t need to be so sore you can hardly sit on the toilet (unless you’re into that sorta thing).... You don’t need to punish yourself for your workout to be effective. And you don’t need to push through an injury or serious pain. Remember. Sore, sweaty, and tired doesn’t mean your workout was better or more effective. It means you‘re sore, sweaty, and tired. That’s it. And if you’re working your ass off in the gym but aren’t happy with your results, it might be worthwhile to reevaluate your plan. Because it doesn’t take a great coach or program to make you sore, sweaty, and tired. That’s easy. But it does take a great coach or program to produce real, visible results. Having said that, working out isn’t supposed to tickle. If you’re doing it right there will be times in which you’re uncomfortable. There will be times your muscles are burning in a safe, healthy, productive way (but still not comfortable). There will be times you want to quit. And there will be times you get nervous and question whether or not you’ll be able to make it the whole way through. And that’s a good thing. Because you’re trying. You’re pushing outside your comfort zone. You’re working to achieve your goals. And you understand success doesn’t come from avoiding pain - it comes from taking consistent, deliberate action, adjusting to each obstacle as it comes. Sometimes adjusting means pushing forward. Other times it means taking a step back. Either way, the most important thing to understand is you don’t need to put yourself at risk or push through an injury to see results. That said, don’t forget the only way to change your body is by challenging it. No need to rush or go 100% every day, but push yourself. Challenge your body. Dig deep. See what you’re capable of. It’s probably much more than you think. #sweat #workout #bodybuilding #powerlifting #fitness #personaltrainer #healthylifestyle #workoutroutine #strengthtraining

Every time I say, don’t compare yourself to others someone says, thanks asshole but that’s easier said than done. And they’re right. It is easier said than done.... And, in fairness, comparing yourself to others isn’t inherently bad. Comparison is the reason hundreds of people have beat the 4-minute mile after Roger Bannister did it in 1954 (when it was thought to be physically impossible). Comparison is one of the reasons having a workout partner can help you stay consistent even when you don’t want to go to the gym. Comparison, used appropriately, can motivate you. Push you. Drive you to be better. Hold you accountable. And help you believe in your ability to succeed. But. Used inappropriately, comparison can be crippling. It can demotivate you. Cause you to feel insecure. Second guess both your abilities and your decisions. And give you a reason to justify not trying at all. Listen. I’m not saying it’s easy. It isn’t. I struggle with it every day so I’m by no means an expert. And I also realize this somewhat contradicts the tweet I posted but such is life. Comparison isn’t good or bad. It’s not something to be avoided nor something to strive for. Rather, the goal with comparison should be to learn how to consciously and deliberately use it to help you improve, not tear yourself down. Use comparison in a way that motivates you to be better, work harder and take more action. Use comparison to fuel your efforts, not halt them altogether. Again. Easier said than done, I know. I struggle with it, too. But if you’re going to use easier said than done as an excuse not to try...I’m just not sure that’s the best life strategy. But what do I know. I’m just a short, bald, silly little muggle.
