The season is slowing down and a hush falls upon the orchard. As winter looms the trees start to go into dormancy, preparing themselves for next season when we ...start the whole process over again. Life can be unpredictable (who could have thought a pandemic would happen this year) the unknown can be overwhelming at times. However, when I observe the constant cycle of nature it instills a sense of calm in world full of turmoil. Indeed there is someone who watches over all things and for that I take great comfort in. It's been a season that we won't forget. I can say without hesitation that I'm truly looking forward to next season. We are only open for the next weeks so start stocking up before it's too late.

We have been frost - lucky so far. Only small ones that affected tomatoes and some beans. The raspberries have been fine, but the big 0 is forecast for this Fri...day. Goodbye berries, hello Jerusalem Artichoke. The ground will take a lot longer to freeze, so we can dig those up all fall and early winter.
