Francis Rocco Prestia, the legendary bass player for Tower of Power died on 29 Sept. He was a true innovator and a huge influence on the TOP sound. Forever hip, RIP Rocco. https://www.notreble.com//in-memoriam-francis-rocco-prest/

The Levin Brothers visited The Jazz Room as part of their tour early this year. It was a fantastic musical experience in this gig-shortened year. They just posted a collection of photos from that tour along with some commentary. Here's what they had to say about our local jazz club gem: "Not only have we never been to this very hip town, but it turned out to be one of the hippest jazz clubs and audiences we had on the whole tour." That is high praise coming from a group of veteran musicians who know a great club when they see one! Congratulations to our friends at The Jazz Room and to the Levin Brothers: please come back!!! @TheJazzRoom, @Levin Brothers

A short clip from Loop Doctors Master Class in July 2019 from the Jazz Room in Waterloo. It was a new feature for the Jazz Festival last year. A chance for musicians and music lovers to hear from the artists, see them play and ask them questions in the intimate setting of the Jazz Room. Oh, and did we mention it was free? You don't want to miss the next Master Class or the next Sun Life UpTown Waterloo Jazz Festival. See you next time and please, stay safe!@JazzRoom,@loopdoctors
