Waterloo Regional Kart Club

The Waterloo Regional Kart Club celebrated their 2020 Banquet in a different format than normal, but Covid didn’t stop us from having an amazing afternoon/evening celebrating our drivers and building on our racing friendships. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such an amazing night. Special thanks to Sarah and Jason Bowden and Jody Prince for taking on the task of organizing the 2020 banquet. As well as all the executive members who helped with the many tasks of preparing for and running the banquet. Thank you to our MC Gary Colling for not only being the MC but for the entertainment. Huge shoot out to Kitty’s Ice Cream Garage for donating the yummy hot coffee and tea!

This week end is our Annual Awards Banquet. It will look very different from previous years, but we are excited that we are able to celebrate our drivers accomplishments. We will be outside, in a field so dress for comfort and warmth this year!! THIS EVENT is SOLD OUT. Absolutely NO ONE will be able to enter through the gates without a ticket.... When: Saturday October 24, 2020 12:00pm-5:00pm Where: Flamboro Speedway Pits Side north end on top of the hill. Food truck The Schmuck truck will be serving up lunch from 12:30pm to 3pm Awards to follow. Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided, along with individual sealed snacks.

This concludes another WRKC Oktoberfest Grand Prix. Thank you to all our amazing volunteers, executive members, sponsors, drivers, and their families. This kart club has heart I have heard this said many times over the years about the WRKC and I again heard it said again today.

In keeping with the Covid rules. The WRKC is reminding everyone that there is not to be any spectators at the Oktoberfest event this year. Please continue to follow the outlined rules that we have been following. Teams are allowed to have the driver and three other crew members. When you can’t distance please make sure you have a mask on.

Oktoberfest 2020 is our next and final event of 2020. We would like to thank our event sponsor T.Weber Co. Ltd ! T. Weber Co. Please park in every other pit pad to assist with physical distancing Yearly waivers for driver and race team Please sign and submit a one time waiver that will cover the full 2020 race year and hand in to registration. This includes the full family/crew on site. Please write kart # and class at the top of the sheet. Member Waivers Minor Waiver Please do not invite additional spectators at this time. Official COVID19 protocols are attached, please print a copy and read. A printable race order is also available to print at home and have at your trailer. If you find you find yourself parked in an area that does not allow you to hear the loud speakers well, we also broadcast across FM channel 100.3. The Pre-Tech form is available for download. Limited copies will be available at the registration bin. You must complete a new pre-tech form each race day and submit to the pre-tech pit stall (located across from the registration bin) SPEC GAS STATION *** 91 OCTANE ONLY *** The ESSO station located on the North side of hwy 5 approximately 2 KM east of Hwy 8 & Hwy 5 intersection. The WRKC ran their last points race of the season on Saturday. It was another beautiful sunny day at the track. Congratulations to everyone on a great day! All junior drivers received a trophy today. Our Masters Class had 21 drivers! Thanks again to our race day sponsor Walker Machinery.
