From Karen Dixon, one of our key volunteers: Today [Friday, March 20] was our last day of serving at the Bridgeport Cafe. We have been closed down so that services can be consolidated. I understand why but I am very sad. I am going to miss the people and I am hoping and praying that we will be able to open again soon. Please keep all people who don't have a home, food, or any support system, in your thoughts and prayers. Please, please ask all levels of government to keep supports in place for some of the most vulnerable people in the country. If any of them gets sick, there will be a lot of death. Be kind to everyone!!!

It is with heavy hearts that Wayside announces the passing of one of our Bridgeport Cafe friends, Chuck Haase. Chuck was a big-hearted man who was always quick to tell a joke or share a story. Everyone always enjoyed hearing about his experiences as a competitive strongman and personal body guard. Our sincere condolences to Chuck's family and friends, he will be missed dearly.
