Matthew Halajian Announces Retirement to Focus on Academic Career Details: https://bit.ly/3eK8RC9 In October, Men’s National Team athlete Matthew Halajian announced his retirement from Water Polo Canada in order to focus on his education and pursue his master’s degree at the University of Calgary. ... The British Columbia native joined the Senior Men’s National Team Program in 2010 and has represented Canada at the 2015 FINA World Championships in Kazan and the 2017 FINA World Championships in Budapest. Most recently, Halajian recorded 15 goals in six games, helping Canada capture a silver medal at the Lima 2019 Pan American Games. Thank you Matthew! Wishing you all the best for the future!
