Why You Need Tenant Insurance As a tenant, you are legally responsible for any damage you cause to any part of your building and for unintentional harm caused to others who live in or visit the property. For example: If your known faulty toaster oven starts a fire that damages not only your apartment, but the entire complex, you may have to pay for the damage to your unit and the rest of the complex. If someone slips and falls in your rental condo, you may be held financially responsible for the cost of the injured person’s damages. If your clothing, furniture or electronics are destroyed by fire or water damage, replacement costs add up.

To our tenants affected by the gas leak in Penetanguishene, this is the latest update. Enbridge has arrived and is assessing the situation. Check back for updates.

Update on gas main break. Good news, everyone can return home.

For our tenants that are affected by the gas line break, the Town of Penetanguishene has set up a drop in centre with food and drinks at the Penetanguishene arena. There will be shuttle buses running back and forth between the parking lot next to Town Hall and to the arena. If you need to access your apartment for important reasons such as medications, you can contact the site manager, Dave at 705-331-9659 to have a firefighter assist you with gaining access to your apartment. At this time, Enbridge is estimating that they will have the gas line repaired at approximately 9pm. For the most current updates you can check in on the Town of Penetanguishene's Facebook page.
