It’s important to ensure your intake pipe or exhaust vent doesn’t become blocked with snow or ice. A plugged exhaust could result in carbon monoxide (CO) being pushed back into your home or cause your furnace to shut down. #cosafety #copoisoning #yxefire

Be aware of Carbon monoxide especially during these cold days. It's odourless, colourless and tasteless. It can be a deadly hazard all year round, but in the wi...nter it becomes a particular threat. Here are some tips to keep you and your loved ones safe. Never use a charcoal or gas grill inside a house, garage, closed-in porch or tent. Have your furnace inspected and adjusted regularly. Never use a generator inside your home -- not even in the garage or porch. Keep it outside, far from the house. Never use a gas stove or oven to heat the house. Never leave a car running inside a garage, even if the garage door is open. Never sleep in a parked car while the engine is running. #ParamedicsEmergencyResponse
