It was 20 years ago I was an unemployed class B gas fitter in Victoria. So I answered an ad for a service plumbing technician, with no experience necessary. I started with Roto-Rooter Plumbing in 2000 and quickly got put into the fire. This work would take me all over the city and many areas I had no idea were there. I learnt as I went, through trail and error over the years. We had great Owners/Technicians there that helped me along the way and taught me so many lessons. No...t only how to do service plumbing, but to be understanding and compassionate to customers in time of need. I believe, as they do, that it’s always been about the customer and doing the best job possible. To go above and beyond service and really listen to the customer. Thanks to them I know it has been a tough year for All. I myself have not been at the service technician level I usually hold myself accountable for. So I remind myself of the best crew I ever worked for. Thanks to all these gentlemen for teaching me and being good friends still till this day. These are the only pictures I have of almost everyone. Thinking today of family and military service members, that have served our Country in the greatest honour. This is one of my grandfathers that served (RCAF) in WWII. He was shot down in a plane over Germany and after wandering around for a few days, gave himself up as a prisoner of war. I remember him telling us about a farm whenever he manage to find some vegetables to eat and drank the cats milk that was left out. Amazing to think he survived getting shot down! Truly respect and think very highly of Canadian Military Members.... we will NEVER forget the sacrifice many have made.... W
