It’s little me, back from Paris! Well obviously not Paris, but I am back from my lil instagram hiatus. I wish I could tell you I’m back to work but sadly I’m still waiting for the green light for Ontario! Though client health and safety has ALWAYS been my number one priority I will be taking many extra steps to ensure my clients and my own health is not jeopardized. With all the time I’ve had lately I have been able to get prepared with all the changes required to ensure... I have the most clean and safe environment possible when the time comes to reopen! I have implemented PPE such as the Client Protection Shield (@sugarlashpro ) which is a plexiglass shield between myself and the client! I will personally be wearing a mask, face shield (@sugarlashpro ) and gloves which will be changed between each client. Along with these changes come many more, including that clients (mannequins not excluded) will be required to wear a face covering for the entire appointment. Appointments will be spaced out to allows for time for me to decontaminate surfaces, tools and remove disposables. A few other changes to come will be announced when the green light is given - price increases, appointment times etc. Thank you all SO much for your support throughout these crazy times and I cant wait till @fordnationdougford let’s me lash again! . Fluff Comparison @sugarlashpro Uptown Mink Had this sitting in my draft posts from the days of nail appointments Diameters from left to right: 0.03mm, 0.05mm, 0.07mm. Smaller diameters allow for more extensions to be added to the fan; aka more fluff!! Typically 0.07 diameters are used for ‘regular’ or ‘light’ volume sets. Whereas 0.05 & 0.03 diameters are used more in mega-volume sets to create that GLAM look! . STRIP LASH LOOK STRIP LASHES . With all the craziness going on in the world right now there is a pretty good chance you have had to temporarily close up shop and are not currently lashing clients. I don’t think I need to list of any of the reasons that this sucks - because we all know it does. But as a big believer in making the best of the worst situation I have found a new way to practice my craft! Creating strip lashes on my mannequin head is actually helping keep me (k...ind of) sane throughout this whole thing. Not only does it allow me to continue to practice and build on my skill, but it also allows me to use my full creative powers to do WHATEVER kind of set I want. As a bonus on top of this all you can then use the full set you’ve created and either wear them yourself or sell to clients as a custom strip lash sets. (Keep in mind of trying to recreate sets for clients the band of the strip lash will add 2-3mm so scale back on your extension lengths accordingly!) . Okay but seriously, how stunning is she?! I am so honoured every time I am asked to do lashes for your big day. I have been lashing this girl over the past 2.5 years and to be able to do her wedding lashes was an absolute treat! I do spend my days applying lashes to peoples eyes but this job is so much more to me. Being able to form such strong relationships with my clients is really what keeps me going! Client appreciation is something I don’t post much about but I really... need to start. Getting photos like these from you guys is a reminder of why I do what I do. I can’t name many careers where you get to create such strong bonds with people and I am so grateful I found one where I can! You all are the reason I continue to grow and push through the hurdles, you guys make it all worth it. So overall what I’m saying is THANK YOU! Thank you for coming to your appointments.
