I've had many requests to join the FREE online guided meditation sessions I'll be offering on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:00 pm while the studio is closed. Send me your email address, here or to [email protected] and I will send you out the instructions for joining. I've also had people inquire about joining our online yoga classes, which you can also do! Details for joining are at www.wavelengthsyoga.com/workshops.html. I hope to see you online one way or another...even if you just want to chat and say hello! Feel free to drop me a line and we can find a time to connect.

After much pondering, soul-searching, researching and consulting, we have decided to close the studio until April 13 when the spring session is scheduled to begin. All classes in Norwood and Westwood will move to an online platform. If you are currently registered in a class in Norwood, you will receive an email later today with instructions on how to join the classes online. If you are a student in Westwood, Lori will be in touch about your options. Community yoga on Wednes...days with Prudence is cancelled until the spring session. I will be hosting a community guided meditation once a week which is open to everyone, anywhere in the world, regardless of whether you’re registered for classes at the studio. In these times of fear and isolation, sharing online space together may be our best way to feel connected, grounded and healthy. Please stay tuned for more details. Sign up for our newsletter at www.wavelengthsyoga.com to get the latest updates and class links. I feel both sad and hopeful. Sad, because practicing yoga in real-time with real people is one of the most healing activities I know. Hopeful because we CAN continue online, and we will get through this if we all do our best to stop the spread. Love and good health. Caroline

In light of all the closures from Corona virus, I’m contemplating moving all group yoga classes from Wavelengths Yoga to online for the next three weeks. I know this would mean that some people can’t or won’t participate. I don’t want to act in fear, but it’s also important to me that my students and their families are safe. I’m not worried for myself, but some of my students are at greater risk than me. On the other hand, the studio is a haven for many. Going to a class mea...ns getting a break from child care or elder care for some. For others, it provides clutter-free space to practice. For most, it’s a place of community in a small town with no cafe or pub to congregate in. In these times of great fear and uncertainty, coming together grounds and supports us. There is space in most classes for students to have several feet of space between them. We encourage students to bring their own mats and to stay home if they have any symptoms. We wash our hands regularly and avoid hugging and touching each other. Many yoga studios in larger centres are closing. Most large gatherings around the world are being cancelled or postponed. I feel conflicted. Today we are open for business as usual. I will be watching the situation carefully over the weekend, and may decide to go online starting next week. Please share your thoughts and concerns. Especially if you’re a student at the studio.

Community yoga with Prudence is cancelled tonight. Please hold her family in your heart as they grieve the passing of a loved one.

Here is another FREE online yoga class. It is the first of our 10-week winter series, hot off the press. If you like it and want to continue, see the comments for sign-up information. The theme for this class is commitment. I share some thoughts on commitments vs. making resolutions, and guide you through a class where you're invited to commit to mindfulness, and what to do when you "mess up" or your mind wanders. I hope you enjoy the class. Stay tuned for more free classes and information on workshops and other interesting things happening online and at the studio. PLEASE share any feedback, both positive and constructive. It will help me to offer better classes online. And, do feel free to share this page, and the link to the free video with your friends. https://youtu.be/TMGAbbHtJrw
