Another week with no Lions meeting, Members not being able to get together as friends and as community supporters. However, as Lions, we want to make sure our community stays safe so we want you to do the things: mask, wash, distance. We can help to curb the spread of the virus. Thank you Peace Poster artists for all your submissions. This year's theme was "Peace Through Service". This year's participants were ages 10-13 and from Wawanesa School, Green Acres Colony and, some Home Schoolers. We greatly appreciate all of your participation. The 1st place goes to Alanna Hofer Tied for 2nd place is Shane Elder and Emery Kozak 3rd is Kyrna Moyer... The first place poster will now be sent to compete against the winners from other Lions Clubs within our district. Go Alanna Go!

Wawanesa Lions is having their annual Christmas Cheer Draw. If you would like a ticket, ask any local Lion or call Lion Don at 204-824-2457, Lion Bob at 204-573-6688 or, to purchase by e-transfer, contact Lion Chris at 204-761-8094. Draw date is December 18, 2020. Profits from this draw go to the community. Sometimes it supports a youth project like the Peace Poster contest or the Lion Community Involvement Scholarship. Other times it may help a family in need with medical related expenses, donate to the food bank or other community group. Your support helps the Lions to live up to their motto: We Serve.
