West Coast Martial Arts Championship Attention all MMA contestants... We are sad to say that at the eleventh hour and after much discussion with the director of the BC Athletics Commissioner Kelly Gilday we are unable this year to hold the MMA divisions. Although we are a tournament style event with controlled no-face contact and have previously provided these divisions unhindered, we are still considered to be under the commissions jurisdiction and subject to all their stipulations . We will, of course, be giving refunds to all affected MMA contestants once the tournament has been completed. If those contestants would like to transfer their ticket to another division, that also will be possible. We are working closely with Mr. Gilday to change the rules to allow amateur tournament style MMA divisions in the future. Our sincere apologies to all those who are inconvenienced by this decision.
