With heavy hearts we would like to let everyone know that the Legend Sigung Taky Kimura passed away this morning peacefully in his sleep. Sigung was 96 years old. We at WCMAA would like to express our deepest condolences to Sifu Andy (his son and leader of the Jun Fan Gung Fu Institute Seattle) and his surviving family members. Your legacy will be carried on by WCMAA. Rest In Peace now that you are reunited with Sijo Bruce Lee.

WCMAA is bringing you women’s self defence!!! What: Comprehensive 2 hour session focusing on awareness and rapid response techniques. Why: To help you, a loved one or friend defend yourself in the event of an attack and to make you aware of potential threatening situations and how to avoid them. ... Who: Open to all women. You are welcome to have your relatives or friends join in. All are welcome. Sessions will be taught by certified martial arts instructors. When: We will be having a session in the coming weeks. And we will follow with more sessions in the new year. How: The sessions will run online so you can train in the comfort of your own homes. If we are physically open there will be limited spots available to allow for social distancing and safe training. Cost: All we ask is a donation of a non perishable food item for donation to a charitable organization. Stay tuned for details on the first session!

Monday and Tuesday’s classes were all about JKD(Jeet Kune Do) which covered various ABC (attack by combinations) and ABD (attack by drawing) techniques from sijo Bruce Lee and sigung Taky Kimura of the Jun fun Gung fu institute curriculum and FMA (Filipino Martial Arts) which covered Abecedario disarms With sticks, double knife in heaven and earth grip ,Stick vs empty hand And Knife vs empty hand , 8-1-4 drills with Dos Manos and PTK (Pekiti Tirsia Kali) footwork and techni...ques dealing with multiple attackers! Next Tuesday at 7:30pm. Additionally we will have guest Krav Maga instructor Curtis Ramharrack live from Trinidad at 6:30pm. Open to all current WCMAA members.

8th anniversary commemoration. A journey in the history of WCMAA. Part 1: WCMAA was conceptually established in 1982 in Trinidad when Guro / Sifu Marvin started his martial arts journey with Shotokan Karate. 15 years later in 1997 he started training in Jeet Kune Do, Kali and Silat with his best friend and fellow Engineering student Curtis Ramharrack. Curtis is a certified Krav Maga Instructor and will be a guest instructor in the coming days. Stay tuned for more details and more WCMAA history during this month.
