WCT is excited to announce "Togather: A Celebration of Community," our theme for February and March! How do we get together when we are unable to gather? We will be exploring this theme through original videos, live virtual watch parties, blog and social media posts, exciting contests, and more. We will start with the original video "From The Sagebrush, With Love," featuring Eva Tavares, which can be streamed for free online from February 11th - 20th, with a Live! Virtual Wat...ch Party on February 13th at 7:30pm. At the beginning of March, we will celebrate International Women's Day with "A Broad's Way Cabaret: The Stage Is Hers." This event will bring together a wide range of local artists and groups and will include theatre, dance, music, standup comedy and more. It will launch with a Live! Virtual Watch Party on March 8th at 7:30pm and be free to stream online until March 14th. Throughout the next few weeks, we will also be releasing a series of blog and social media posts, cheekily called "Knowing Us, Knowing You... Uh-huh." It will be a chance for you to get to know us better, and we hope that you will share your own favourite WCT stories for chances to win some great prizes. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter: @wctlive, and sign up to our newsletter to learn more. We will be adding more events throughout the next weeks, and we can't wait to share it all with you. Go to http://wctlive.ca/togather for more information. The Fifth video in WCT's "The Snow Must Go On Series:" A CHRISTMAS CAROL: READ BY JAMES MACDONALD (Part 2 of 2) . A reading of Charles Dickens' classic story, adapted and read by our own Artistic Director, James MacDonald, from the stage of the Sagebrush Theatre. This video can just as easily be enjoyed as an "audiobook," so turn it on in the background, and make your favourite meal, or just relax by the fire. This is the second of two installments.... Charles Dickens wrote in a time of great hardship for many, when the disparity between the rich and the poor was palpable. It is an enduring reminder of the importance of caring for those less fortunate than yourself. At this particularly difficult time for everyone, any way we can make somebody's day better is worth it.
